I absolutely love getting to hear how my couples met, and Francis and Ryan have such a sweet story!

Francis is originally from Peru, and while she was visiting San Diego with her friends, she met Ryan. They connected right away, but eventually Francis had to return home to Peru. What started as a vacation turned into a long-distance relationship, and a few years later, here they were getting married!

Even though they now live together in San Diego, they decided to have their intimate wedding in Florida, where Ryan's family lives. Francis's parents and some of her closest friends even traveled all the way from Peru to celebrate with them, which made the day even more special.

We met at the beautiful Sarasota Courthouse, one of my absolute favorite locations for intimate weddings in Florida. After their civil ceremony, we spent some time taking family portraits, followed by newlywed portraits around the courthouse.

One thing I love about my two-hour elopement package is that we get to visit two different locations. We usually spend the first hour at the courthouse, and then my couples get to choose where they want to go next.

Francis and Ryan chose the beach, and I'm so happy they did!

Now, here's something I always tell my couples. You don't necessarily need a sunset to have beautiful beach photos. Their session was right around 3 PM, in the middle of a Florida summer, with the sun directly above us. And honestly? The photos turned out absolutely gorgeous!

The ocean was the prettiest shade of blue, the light was bright, and everything looked so beautiful. It was definitely hot, haha, but so worth it!

I loved spending the afternoon with Francis and Ryan, hearing their story, meeting their families, and being part of such a special day.

From meeting on a trip to San Diego to celebrating their wedding surrounded by loved ones who traveled from different places, their story is such a sweet reminder of how life can surprise us in the best ways.

So happy I got to be part of it!
